Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
1.1 The Company. Long Range Roofing is an assumed name of a Texas limited liability company (“Long Range Roofing,” the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We operate the website at longrangeroofing.com (the “Site”). Long Range Roofing connects you with one local roofing company, who provides your free estimate. We don’t do the roofing work. When you ask for a free estimate, we send your request to one local roofing company that pays us for it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect Personal Information of visitors to the Site and of people who ask for an estimate (“you”). “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, or is reasonably linkable to an individual, and includes “personal data” as defined by an applicable privacy law.
1.2 Contact. Privacy requests and appeals: privacy@longrangeroofing.com. Legal notices: legal@longrangeroofing.com. Questions about your request: info@longrangeroofing.com. We have not designated a data protection officer.
1.3 Controller. For the Personal Information described in this Policy, the Company decides why and how it is processed and is the controller or business, as those terms are used in privacy laws.
1.4 The Local Company. “Local Company” means the independent local roofing company we send your request to. The Local Company is responsible for its own use of your request after we deliver it. Local Companies are independent businesses. They set their own prices and terms, are not our employees or agents, and we do not guarantee their work or their licenses. Please check a company’s licenses, insurance, and references before you hire it.
1.5 Terms of Use. This Policy is part of the Site’s Terms of Use. Disputes about this Policy are subject to the arbitration agreement, class action waiver, governing law, and venue provisions of the Terms of Use.
1.6 Who the Site Is For; Where We Operate. The Site is for homeowners, and people authorized by a homeowner, who want a free roofing estimate in the areas we serve in the United States. It is not directed to anyone under 18. We offer services only in the states we choose to serve. We do not offer services in California or Connecticut.
2. Notice at Collection
The table below describes the categories of Personal Information we collect, where it comes from, why we collect it, and the categories of recipients. Section 4 describes our purposes in more detail, and Section 7 lists our service providers.

We do not ask for precise geolocation, government identifiers, financial account numbers, health information, biometric data, or other sensitive data. We do not buy Personal Information from data brokers or other companies. We collect your request only through our own Site.
3. Where Personal Information Comes From
3.1 You. We collect information you give us when you complete our request form, contact us, or communicate with us.
3.2 Automatically. We and our service providers collect device, browser, and usage data through cookies and similar technologies, and we record the data listed in Section 2 with each form submission.
3.3 Service Providers. Our service providers give us records such as address suggestions, phone check results, delivery status, and form and message activity.
4. How We Use Personal Information
4.1 Business Purposes. We use Personal Information to:
(a) receive your request and check it against our standards, including whether the address you entered is in an area we serve;
(b) send your request to one Local Company that serves your area so it can contact you about your free estimate;
(c) contact you by text and email about your request, as you agreed, and answer your questions;
(d) check form entries, including with automated bot protection, address autocomplete, and phone number validity checks;
(e) charge the Local Company for your request and keep business, tax, and accounting records;
(f) measure and improve our advertising and the Site, including by reporting form submissions to advertising platforms for advertising measurement and audience purposes, as Section 6 describes;
(g) secure the Site and our systems, detect and prevent fraud, abuse, scraping, and unauthorized access, and enforce our agreements;
(h) keep records of consent and of requests under this Policy;
(i) comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
(j) carry out a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4.2 No Incompatible Use. We do not process Personal Information for purposes that are not reasonably necessary to or compatible with the purposes in this Section, unless we get your consent where the law requires it.
4.3 No Sensitive Data Processing. We do not process sensitive data. If that changes, we will obtain consent where the law requires it before we do.
4.4 No Automated Decisions. We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and we do not engage in profiling in furtherance of those decisions. We match your request to a Local Company by area and availability.
5. Cookies, Pixels, and Other Tracking Technologies
5.1 What We Use. The Site and our emails use the following technologies:
| Technology or provider | What it does | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, including Turnstile and Web Analytics | Hosting, security, bot protection on forms, and website analytics without cookies | IP address, request data, browser signals, pages viewed |
| Lead router (hosted on Cloudflare) | Stores your request and routes it to one Local Company | Your request details, contact details, and consent record |
| GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) | Forms, customer relationship management, email, text messaging, workflows, and the address search box on our form | Form entries, contact details, form and cookie identifiers, message activity |
| Meta Pixel and Conversions API (Meta Platforms) | Advertising measurement and audiences on Facebook and Instagram | Online identifiers, page and event data, and contact details you submit, which may be hashed |
| Google tags (Google Ads, including YouTube) | Advertising measurement and audiences | Online identifiers, page and event data, and contact details you submit, which may be hashed |
| ChatGPT ads pixel and conversions API (OpenAI) | Advertising measurement | Online identifiers, page and event data, and contact details you submit, which may be hashed |
| Other advertising platforms, possibly later | Advertising measurement and audiences | Described here before they are used |
| Email open and click tracking | Shows whether you opened an email or clicked a link | Email address, device data, time of activity |
5.2 No Other Analytics. Other than Cloudflare Web Analytics and the reporting built into the services listed in Section 5.1, we do not currently use other analytics tools, and we do not use session recording or session replay tools on the Site. We will update this Policy before we add them.
5.3 When Advertising Tags Load. Advertising tags, including the Meta Pixel, Google tags, and the ChatGPT ads pixel, may load when you visit the Site. We honor a valid universal opt out signal automatically, and you may opt out at any time through the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the Site footer. If our systems detect that you are visiting from a state where the law requires consent before communications may be recorded or intercepted, or cannot detect your state, advertising tags load only after you accept the cookie notice. Security and form functions that are necessary to operate the Site, including Cloudflare protections and form cookies, may run before you choose.
5.4 Form Submission Reports. When you submit a form, we record your IP address, page address, referring page, time zone, consent text, and a timestamp. If no opt out signal is present and you have not opted out, we may report the form submission to advertising platforms such as Meta, Google, and OpenAI for advertising measurement. We may send the report from our servers instead of your browser. The report may include contact details you submitted, such as your email address and phone number, which we hash before sending, and event data such as the fact that you submitted a form. The form links to this Privacy Policy, which describes this reporting.
5.5 Your Consent to Website Communications Recording. By continuing to use the Site, and by selecting accept where the Site asks you to, you expressly consent to the Company and to the service providers named in this Policy that load on the Site receiving, recording, and using the contents of your electronic communications with the Site, and the routing, addressing, and signaling information associated with them, including IP address, user agent, page interactions, and similar device data, for the purposes this Policy states. This consent is given to the Company and to those providers. It is intended to be the consent of a party to the communication under the federal Wiretap Act, 18 U.S.C. Section 2511(2)(d), and under any state wiretap, eavesdropping, or pen register and trap and trace statute that applies, including the California Invasion of Privacy Act to the extent it applies. It does not extend to activity this Policy does not describe.
5.6 If You Do Not Consent. If you do not consent, use the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the Site footer, decline where the notice asks you to, use your browser controls to block or delete cookies, or send a universal opt out signal. Blocking some technologies may prevent parts of the Site from working. You may also email privacy@longrangeroofing.com to ask us to stop advertising related processing of your information.
5.7 Universal Opt Out Signals. We treat a valid universal opt out signal, such as Global Privacy Control, received from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale of personal data and targeted advertising for that browser, and for the device and, where we can associate it, the account or profile. We do not load advertising tags when a valid signal is present. We do not send form submission reports for a submission made from that browser.
5.8 Do Not Track. The Site does not respond to a browser Do Not Track signal, other than a universal opt out signal as Section 5.7 states.
5.9 Third Party Policies. Meta, Google, OpenAI, and other providers have their own privacy policies and controls, including advertising preference settings. We do not control them.
6. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
6.1 How We Describe It. Some privacy laws define “sale” to include disclosing personal data to a third party for money or other valuable consideration, “sharing” to include disclosing it for cross context behavioral advertising, and “targeted advertising” to include showing ads based on activity across websites over time. Our use of advertising tags and form submission reports may fall within those definitions. We also send your request to one Local Company that pays us for it, and privacy laws may treat that delivery as a sale of personal data. Where those laws apply to us, we give you the opt out rights they describe.
6.2 What We Do Not Do. We send each request to one Local Company only. We do not sell your request to more than one company, and we do not sell your Personal Information to data brokers. We do not sell or share Personal Information of people we know to be under 18. We do not sell sensitive data.
6.3 How to Opt Out. You may opt out of the sale of personal data and of targeted advertising by sending a universal opt out signal, by using the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the Site footer, or by emailing privacy@longrangeroofing.com with the subject line “Opt Out.” We will act on a request within the time the law requires and no later than 45 days after we receive it. When you submit a request for an estimate, you ask us to send it to one Local Company, so you cannot opt out of that delivery after you submit it. You may still opt out of any other sale and of targeted advertising, reply STOP to our texts, and tell the Local Company that you no longer want to be contacted.
6.4 Financial Incentives. We do not offer a financial incentive or a different price in exchange for Personal Information.
6.5 Shine the Light. Other than sending your request to the one Local Company you asked to contact you, we do not disclose Personal Information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
7. How We Disclose Personal Information
7.1 Service Providers. We disclose Personal Information to service providers that act on our behalf under contract and may process it only for our purposes. We authorize each provider to process Personal Information only to perform its service for us, to secure its service, and to meet legal obligations, and we do not authorize it to sell Personal Information or to use it for its own advertising.
| Provider | Service | Personal Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) | Customer relationship management, forms, email and text messaging, workflows, and the address search box on our form | Name, phone, email, property address, request details, consent records, message activity |
| Twilio | Phone number validity checks and text messaging | Phone number, message content and delivery data |
| Lead router (hosted on Cloudflare) | Stores your request and routes it to one Local Company | Request details, contact details, and consent records |
| Business email and documents; address suggestions on our form, which Google provides through the GoHighLevel form | Email addresses and message content; the address text you type | |
| Cloudflare | Hosting, security, bot protection, and website analytics | IP address and request data |
| Meta; Google; OpenAI | Advertising measurement and audiences | As Sections 5 and 6 describe |
| Professional advisors | Legal, accounting, insurance, and tax services | Records needed for the advice |
7.2 Advertising Platforms. Advertising platforms receive information through tags and form submission reports as Sections 5 and 6 describe. They may use it under their own terms.
7.3 Legal and Safety. We disclose Personal Information when we believe the law requires it, to respond to subpoenas and lawful requests, to protect the rights, property, and safety of the Company, our customers, and others, to detect or prevent fraud or abuse, and to establish or defend legal claims.
7.4 Business Transfers. If we are part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, Personal Information may be transferred as part of that transaction. The successor will be bound by this Policy or a policy at least as protective for information already collected.
7.5 At Your Direction; the Local Company. When you submit a request, you direct us to send it to one Local Company that serves your area. The Local Company may use it only to respond to your request, under its agreement with us. We also disclose information to any other person you ask us to disclose it to.
7.6 Changes in Providers. We may add or replace a service provider that performs a similar function. If a provider will receive a new category of Personal Information that this Policy does not describe, we will update this Policy first.
8. Calls, Texts, and Email
8.1 Consent. If you check the consent checkbox on our request form, you agree that Long Range Roofing and one local roofing company may contact you by call, text, and email about your request, including by automated messages. The checkbox reads: “By checking this box, I agree that Long Range Roofing and one local roofing company may contact me by call, text and email about my request to get a free estimate, including automated messages. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. See our Privacy Policy.” We currently contact you only by text and email about your request. The Local Company may call, text, and email you about your request and is responsible for its own calls, texts, and emails. The Terms of Use state the full consent and the text message program terms.
8.2 Texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. You may also reply QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE, or tell us by any other reasonable method. We honor a revocation as soon as practicable and no later than 10 business days after we receive it. After you opt out we may send one message confirming it. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8.3 No Sharing for Third Party Marketing. We do not share your mobile phone number or your text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. This does not restrict our disclosure to service providers that help us send messages, or our delivery of your request, including your phone number, to the one Local Company you asked to contact you about your estimate. The Local Company may use your number only to respond to your request.
8.4 Calls From Us. Long Range Roofing does not currently place telephone calls to you. If we begin, we will call only about your request, under your consent, and we will update this Policy first. The Local Company may call you about your request. If you call or text us, we use your call or message to respond to you.
8.5 Email. We email you only about your request. We do not send you marketing emails. If that changes, those emails will include a way to unsubscribe, and we will process unsubscribe requests within the period the CAN-SPAM Act allows. Our emails may include open and click tracking.
8.6 Your Numbers. Please tell us if a telephone number you gave us changes or is reassigned, so that we do not contact someone else.
8.7 Consent Records. We keep the consent text shown to you, a timestamp, the form version, and the data listed in Section 5.4 for four years after your request, to show when and how you consented.
8.8 Call Recording. The Company does not currently record or monitor telephone calls. If that changes, we will tell the other party at the start of the call.
9. Retention
We keep Personal Information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes in this Policy, and then delete it or de-identify it, subject to legal holds.
| Record | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Consent records, including consent text, timestamp, form version, IP address, page address, referring page, and time zone | Four years after your request, then deleted |
| Requests, contact details, and check results | Four years after your request, then deleted |
| Delivery and billing records | As tax and accounting law requires |
| Communications | While needed to respond to you and meet legal duties |
| Website and security logs | Provider default periods, unless longer retention is needed for security, enforcement, or a legal claim |
| Privacy request records | Long enough to show how we responded, and at least as the law requires |
We may keep information longer where a law requires, to establish or defend a legal claim, to detect a security incident, or to complete a transaction you asked for.
10. Security and Incidents
10.1 Safeguards. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Personal Information. Access is limited to personnel and vendors that need it. We rely on reputable service providers and their security controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee security.
10.2 Incident Notice. If a security incident requires notice to you or to a regulator, we will give it as applicable law requires, including Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 521 and the breach notification laws of other states where they apply.
11. Children
The Site is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly sell or share it. If you believe a person under 18 gave us Personal Information, email privacy@longrangeroofing.com and we will delete it.
12. Sensitive Data
We do not ask for sensitive data, such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, precise location, health information, biometric data, or data revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, citizenship, or immigration status. Please do not send it to us. We do not sell sensitive data and will not sell sensitive data without your prior consent. If you send us sensitive data, we may delete it.
13. Your Rights Under Texas Law
13.1 Applicability. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541 (the “TDPSA”), gives Texas residents rights over personal data collected about them as consumers. The TDPSA has an exception for small businesses. We will respond to requests from Texas residents as the TDPSA requires, to the extent it applies to the data. Describing these rights is not an admission that the TDPSA applies.
13.2 Your Rights. Subject to the law and to verification of your identity, you may:
(a) confirm whether we are processing your personal data and access it;
(b) correct inaccuracies in your personal data, taking into account its nature and our purposes;
(c) delete personal data provided by or obtained about you;
(d) obtain a copy of the personal data you previously provided to us, in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format, where the processing is by automated means;
(e) opt out of the processing of your personal data for targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and profiling in furtherance of a decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect. We do not engage in that profiling; and
(f) appeal our decision about a request, as Section 15.5 describes.
13.3 Response Time. We respond to a verified request without undue delay and no later than 45 days after we receive it. We may extend that period once by 45 more days when reasonably necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of requests, and we will tell you within the first 45 days and explain why. You may make up to two requests in a 12 month period free of charge. We may charge a reasonable fee or decline a request that is manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, as the law allows.
13.4 No Sale of Sensitive Data Without Consent. We do not sell sensitive data. We will not sell sensitive data without first obtaining your consent, and a small business may not do so under Texas Business and Commerce Code Section 541.107.
13.5 Universal Opt Out. Because our use of advertising tags and form submission reports may be a sale or targeted advertising, we honor universal opt out signals as Section 5.7 states.
13.6 No Retaliation. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right under this Policy, such as by denying services, charging a different price, or providing a different quality of service, except as the law allows.
14. Your Rights Under Other State Privacy Laws
14.1 States Covered. Residents of the following states may have rights under the comprehensive consumer privacy law of their state: Colorado (Colorado Privacy Act), Delaware (Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act), Indiana (Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act), Iowa (Iowa Consumer Data Protection Act), Kentucky (Kentucky Consumer Data Protection Act), Maryland (Maryland Online Data Privacy Act), Minnesota (Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act), Montana (Montana Consumer Data Privacy Act), Nebraska (Nebraska Data Privacy Act), New Hampshire (New Hampshire consumer data privacy law), New Jersey (New Jersey Data Privacy Act), Oregon (Oregon Consumer Privacy Act), Rhode Island (Rhode Island Data Transparency and Privacy Protection Act), Tennessee (Tennessee Information Protection Act), Utah (Utah Consumer Privacy Act), and Virginia (Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act).
14.2 What Those Laws May Provide. Where a law applies to the Company and to the request, it may give you the right to confirm whether we process your personal data and to access it, to correct inaccuracies, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling, and to appeal a denial. Some laws add other rights, such as a list of the third parties that received your personal data.
14.3 Limits and Thresholds. Many of these laws apply only to businesses that meet size or volume thresholds, exclude personal data of individuals acting in a commercial or employment context, and have other exceptions. Describing these rights is not an admission that any law applies to the Company or that a threshold is met.
14.4 California and Connecticut. We do not offer services in California or Connecticut. If you are a resident of either state and believe we hold your Personal Information, email privacy@longrangeroofing.com and we will respond as the law requires.
14.5 Other States. If your state is not named here, you may email privacy@longrangeroofing.com, and we will respond as the law of your state requires.
14.6 Shorter Periods. If an applicable law requires a shorter response or appeal period than this Policy states, the shorter period controls for that request.
15. How to Submit a Request; Verification; Appeals
15.1 How to Submit. Email privacy@longrangeroofing.com. State your name, the email address and phone number you used with us, your state of residence, and the right you want to use. To opt out of the sale of personal data and targeted advertising, you may also use a universal opt out signal.
15.2 Verification. We will match the name, email address, phone number, and request details you give against our records. If a request seeks specific pieces of Personal Information, we may ask you to confirm control of the email address on file or to provide another fact only the person who made the request would know. We will not ask for more information than we need to verify and complete the request, and we will not require a government identification document unless we cannot verify you by less intrusive means and the request presents a risk of disclosure to an impersonator. We will delete a verification document after verification, except a record that verification occurred. We do not need to verify an opt out of sale or targeted advertising beyond what is reasonably needed to apply it.
15.3 Authorized Agents. You may use an authorized agent if you give signed permission and we can verify your identity, or if the agent holds a power of attorney. We may deny an agent request that lacks proof of authority.
15.4 Denials and Exceptions. We may deny a request in whole or in part if we cannot verify you, if it would disclose another person’s Personal Information, if it is subject to a legal privilege, if the information is not Personal Information, if it is manifestly unfounded or excessive, or if an exception in the applicable law applies, including to complete a transaction, detect a security incident, comply with law, or establish or defend a legal claim. We will state our reason in general terms. A denial does not stop you from submitting a new request with better verification. We keep a record of requests and responses for compliance, and we do not use it for marketing.
15.5 Appeals. You may appeal a denial by emailing privacy@longrangeroofing.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal” within a reasonable time after you receive our decision. We will tell you in writing what we did or did not do on appeal, and why, within 60 days after we receive it. If we deny your appeal, you may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General through the online complaint process at texasattorneygeneral.gov, or to the attorney general of your state.
16. Third Party Websites
The Site may link to websites we do not control. This Policy does not apply to them. Review their privacy policies before you give them information.
17. International Visitors
The Site is directed to people in the United States. We do not offer our services outside the United States, do not target people in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other countries, and process Personal Information in the United States. If you are outside the United States, please do not submit Personal Information through the Site.
18. Additional Disclosures
18.1 Correspondence. If you email us, we use the message to respond and keep a record. Do not send information you do not want kept under this Policy.
18.2 No Eligibility Decisions. We do not use Personal Information to make decisions about credit, insurance, housing, or employment. Matching your request to a Local Company is not a consumer report.
18.3 No Waiver. This Policy does not create a right to a particular security control, does not waive a privilege, and does not limit our ability to resist a request that is unfounded, excessive, or would disclose another person’s information.
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy on the Site and change the Effective Date. If a change is material, we will give additional notice, such as a notice on the Site or an email, and we will obtain consent where the law requires it. The Effective Date at the top of the posted version controls.
20. Accessibility of This Policy
